It begins with a warm up, followed by technical exercises during the first 60 minutes, leaving the last 30 minutes to focus on choreography and improvisation tasks. The choreography was created to specific music and is designed to offer the dancers the opportunity to apply what they developed throughout the whole class, including floor work, dynamic,musicality, spatial awareness and creativity.
Salomé Martins was born in Portugal, started her training in 1984 and completed it in 1997 at the Contemporary Dance Academy in Setubal. She then immediately started working as a professional dancer in the Contemporary dance company in Setúbal/Portugal where she danced until the year 2000, beginning then an international career through different companies such as Ballet Braunschweig, Ballet Theater Munich, Ballet Darmstadt, Ballet national de Marseille and Tanz Luzerner Theater(Luzern, Switzerland) As from 2010 she started teaching ballet and contemporary in Dance art Studio and later in 2013 in the Musical Factory in Luzern until 2018, then becoming a full time Dance teacher at Ballettstadt, Luzern where she currently still teaches. As of September 2020, Salomé Martins enrolled in the Master Dance program at Zürcher Hochschule Der Künste, MA Dance -Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals, and is currently teaching in the Bachelors program Contemporary Dance, students 1st and 2nd years at the ZHdK as well.
