Elena Paltracca is a contemporary dancer based in Switzerland. A graduate of ZHdK (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste), she has deepened her training through apprenticeships in Germany at Staatstheater Kassel with Johannes Wieland and Ballet Hagen under Marguerite Donlon.
In July 2021 she’s been performing for the Irish touring festival ‘StepUp’. Here she’s been working with choreographers like Roy Assaf, Lucyna Zwolinska, and David Bolger for the Irish touring festival Step Up, also directed by Marguerite Donlon.
Since 2019, Elena has enjoyed working with various choreographers in Switzerland, including Marcel Leemann for Confessio at Marcel Leemann Physical Dance Theater and Tabea Martin for H2NY: Homage to Tinguely, a collaboration with visual artist Michael Landy in Basel. She has also contributed choreography to the Raw and Polished festival and participated in a residency at PopUp Dance Space in Winterthur. In May 2024, she joined the BRUECKEREI platform, performing a piece by Morgane Stephan under Caroline Finn and Romain Guion. Most recently, in October 2024, she performed at Festival Verdi in Parma, Italy, directed by Pim Veulings.
Elena’s work is grounded in a respect for collaboration and an ongoing exploration expression through a researched movement language. She hopes to keep connecting with audiences through performances that reflect her curiosity and investigation.
