Class Info
From Inside to Outside.
I teach Contemporary dance training with emphasis on spirals and floor work. We start the class by opening our channels of awarness and feel the inside and the outside, everyone and everything that surrounds us. The warm-up is focused on passing through the whole body and expanding our flexibility and strength – never abandoning a flow of natural and organic movement and feeling our feet as our base and connection to the ground.
Bio
Choreographer, teacher and dancer Marion Sparber.
Originally from South Tyrol, Marion received her dance training at the Varium in Barcelona and the Iwanson School in Munich. She moved to Berlin in 2010, where she has lived and worked as a freelance artist ever since.
Since 2015, Marion has been supported as a freelance choreographer from the cultural ministry of South Tyrol, produced by IDEA – Tanz Theater Performance. As a result, several pieces were created which have been performed at numerous international theatres and festivals in Europe, South and North America, as well as in Asia.
“Stilles Ich”, choreographed for the Volkstheater Rostock dance company, is her first work with a state theatre in Germany.
Many of Marion’s choreographies are a playful combination of highly physical dance, dance theatre, live music, video and photo projections and play with acrobatic circus elements.
As a dancer, Marion has performed in pieces by Francisco Córdova – Physical Momentum, Stella Zannou – Smackdance, Sonia Rodriguez Company and ADN-Dialect.
Together with Alan Fuentes Guerra, she is the co-founder of the platform Shared Levitation Partnering, which choreographs internationally, teaches workshops and presents stage pieces.
As a teacher, Marion is active internationally, enjoys the exchange with the participants and is always inspired anew. She has taught a. o. at Deltebre dansa, B12, Circuit-est, Atlas Festival, PERA, Tanzcompagnie Volkstheater Rostock, Unusual Symptoms, Tanz Gießen, Of curious nature, Stadttheater Bielefeld, Staatstheater Braunschweig, CndC Angers, Vim Vigor, Diavolo Company LA, Kinissis Festival, Tanzhaus Zürich, Profitraining Basel and Lucerne.
