The training is built to develop the awareness and the fine listening of each one, from the inside to the outside. Layers and levels of the body are invested before deploying the movement in space. Rhythms and textures are invoked in silence and then in music in order to build a dance that rises in intensity.
Nicole Morel is a Swiss choreographer and dancer. She began dancing at the age of six and created her first solo at the age of eight. From then on, creation guided all her professional choices. A graduate of the Hamburg Ballet School directed by John Neumeier, her career as a dancer began in Madrid in 2003, at the Compañia Nacional de Danza 2, under the direction of Nacho Duato and Tony Fabre. She continued as a soloist at the Ballettmainz, and then at the Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duisburg under the direction of Martin Schläpfer. Strengthened by this recognized career and in search of other artistic horizons, she founded the company Antipode in Fribourg (CH), her hometown, in 2014. From 2019 to 2022, she is a young associate artist at the Théâtre Equilibre-Nuithonie in Fribourg in partnership with Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Foundation for Culture. In parallel, she is developing a close collaboration with the opera director Julien Chavaz. To allow the realization of her artistic activities, she is involved in several associations to defend the professionalization of dance and the improvement of the working conditions of artists in Fribourg.
