Class description
SLAM!
During this class you will be challenged by a combination of floor work, improvisation and set material. The focus lies on continuation and overlapping movements to create a fluid-like quality. Aside from pushing boundaries the goal is to provide technical tools to support you while digesting new information.
I believe in a highly physical but sensitive approach to create a base on which we can take risks.
This class is aimed to make you think, sweat and groove to hand picked tunes and space filling phrases.

Bio
Victor Rottier is a dedicated dancer, choreographer, and director with a broad background in contemporary dance. Over the years, he has worked with a range of companies as both performer and creator, developing his own work and collaborating closely with others. As a co-founder of greywax dance company, Victor has helped shape the company’s creative direction, choreographing pieces like greywax 140 and Echoes of Applause, which premiered on October 24, 2024.
In recent months, Victor has premiered several new works, including Grain of Thought, performed with Angela Demattè at Laboratoire Suisse de la Danse in Bern; Free Reign, performed with Laja Field in Los Angeles; and Capsize/No Cap, created for the University of Utah. His career includes four years as a full-time ensemble dancer with Staatstheater Kassel, later serving as rehearsal director alongside Johannes Wieland until 2021. Since then, he has focused on freelance work, teaching workshops at festivals internationally and developing projects with dance institutions across Europe and the United States. Currently, he also serves as rehearsal director for Luzerner Theater for the 2024-2025 season. As a choreographer, Victor values collaboration and is continually exploring ways to connect with audiences through thoughtful, dynamic dance work.
